Medication Delivery

We are making some changes to our medication delivery service which was originally introduced for our housebound patients and required the pharmacy to purchase a suitable vehicle and to employ drivers. The use of this service has grown considerably and now also provides for non-housebound patients.

Due to increased costs, which unfortunately are not sustainable, we have made the difficult decision to introduce a delivery charge for our patients who are not clinically housebound. From 1st January 2024, there will be an annual charge for medication delivery of £60 per household per year, which covers a maximum of two repeat medication deliveries per month. Our clinically housebound patients will continue to receive free medication deliveries. More than two deliveries a month will be individually chargeable, and the charge will be at the discretion of the management. If you need help to align your repeat medication requests, our trained staff will be able to advise you.
