Medication Delivery

We are making some changes to our medication delivery service which was originally introduced for our housebound patients and required the pharmacy to purchase a suitable vehicle and to employ drivers. The use of this service has grown considerably and now also provides for non-housebound patients.

Due to increased costs, which unfortunately are not sustainable, we have made the difficult decision to introduce a delivery charge for our patients who are not clinically housebound. From 1st January 2024, there will be an annual charge for medication delivery of £60 per household per year, which covers a maximum of two repeat medication deliveries per month. Our clinically housebound patients will continue to receive free medication deliveries. More than two deliveries a month will be individually chargeable, and the charge will be at the discretion of the management.
