Flu Vaccinations 2023

The 2023 flu vaccination service will commence at Hughenden Valley Surgery and Chequers Drive Surgery on 23 September 2023.

You will receive text messages if you are eligible for a vaccination. The flu vaccine is given free on the NHS to people who:

  • are 65 and over
  • have certain health conditions
  • are pregnant
  • are in long-stay residential care
  • receive a carer’s allowance, or are the main carer for an older or disabled person who may be at risk if you get sick
  • live with someone who is more likely to get infections (such as someone who has HIV, has had a transplant or is having certain treatments for cancer, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis)
  • frontline health or social care workers

Appointments can be booked online via AskFirst or by calling the Care Navigation Team. We will be running Flu clinics on the following dates at the following sites:

Hughenden Valley Surgery

23rd September 2023

21st October 2023

Chequers Drive Surgery

14th October 2023

Vaccinations will be available for everyone eligible, if appointments are currently unavailable they will be added as soon as we have confirmation of future vaccine deliveries.

Flu vaccinations will be administered to housebound patients and you will receive a call / text message prior to a vaccinator visiting your residence.
