Flu Vaccinations 2022

The 2022 flu vaccination service will commence at Hughenden Valley Surgery and Chequers Drive Surgery on 10 September 2022.

We receive staggered delivery of flu vaccinations and clinics will be added in accordance with the delivery of vaccinations. You will receive text messages if you are eligible for a vaccination. The flu vaccine is given free on the NHS to people who:

  • are 50 and over (including those who’ll be 50 by 31 March 2022)
  • have certain health conditions
  • are pregnant
  • are in long-stay residential care
  • receive a carer’s allowance, or are the main carer for an older or disabled person who may be at risk if you get sick
  • live with someone who is more likely to get infections (such as someone who has HIV, has had a transplant or is having certain treatments for cancer, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis)
  • frontline health or social care workers

Appointments can be booked online via Patient Access or by calling the Care Navigation Team.

Vaccinations will be available for everyone eligible, if appointments are currently unavailable they will be added as soon as we have confirmation of future vaccine deliveries.

Flu vaccinations will be administered to housebound patients and you will receive a call / text message prior to a vaccinator visiting your residenc
