The nurses are available for family planning, smears, ear syringing, dressings, travel vaccinations, ECGs, blood pressure, asthma checks,
diabetic checks, Coronary Heart Disease checks and general health check-ups.
HEALTH CARE ASSISTANT By Appointment at
HUGHENDEN and CHEQUERS
Margaret Gordon

Mrs Margaret Gordon our Hughenden based Health Care Assistant is available for
blood tests, blood pressure checks new patient checks, ECGs, Spirometry,
dressings, and removal of sutures
DISTRICT NURSE
We have a team of District Nurses assigned to both surgeries.
They provide
specialised nursing support for house bound patients with nursing needs.
MATERNITY CARE
We have a team of midwives attached to each of the surgeries.
Care in pregnancy is provided by the practice in conjunction with the local
Consultant Obstetricians and our local Midwives. Antenatal care will be carried
out in the surgery during normal surgery or Ante-natal Clinic hours. (Please
tell the Receptionist it is an ante-natal appointment as some may need extra
time.)

HEALTH VISITOR SERVICES
Our Health Visitors are:
Jean Miller at Hughenden Surgery who is available Monday, Tuesday and
Wednesday.
Millie Pickering at Prestwood Surgery who is available Thursday and Friday
if Hughenden patients need a Health Visitor's advice urgently on those days.

Well Baby Clinics
- Prestwood patients: NO APPOINTMENTS NEEDED
2nd and 4th Monday in the month - 2.00pm - 4.00pm
- Hughenden patients: NO APPOINTMENTS NEEDED
2nd and 4th Tuesday in the month - 1.30pm to 3.30pm
Child Immunisations
These are arranged centrally by the PCT Community Services and appointments
will be received in the post accordingly.
